Christmas Day It's Christmas Day, you know. The day and season of giving and receiving. Because if you give, you also receive. Receive feelings of gladness and joy. People look forward to this day. They plan months ahead. Rather than give thanks on Thanksgiving, They wait for thanks on Christmas, for the giving of gifts. I wonder if Santa knows Christ. And if Jesus gets gifts on Christmas. He's been a good boy, you know. No coal for this one. I still think the best gift is that of oneself. And that you can't buy or sell. It must be freely given. Have you stopped to think about the greatest gift of all? Of a Father who gave up his son? That we could return to Him? What gifts have you given Him? I've found that the important gifts can't be touched. A smile, a greeting, a "I love you", a helping hand. Gifts without price, gifts of meaning. Gifts that show you really care. Think you about the greatest gift of all. And show some one you love them. What do you think Christmas is about? Try to make every day like Christmas. But don't take it for granted. Else its meaning goes away. What does Christmas mean to you? Here's my gift of a poem. Morris Cox December 25, 1998
